M25 J22 (eastbound)
At the M25 motorway J22, leave at the exit and at the first roundabout take the 5th exit back over the motorway. At the second roundabout, take the first exit onto the B556, following the brown information signpost to the De Havilland Aircraft Museum. Then continue with the directions from B556.
M25 J22 (westbound)
At the M25 motorway J22, leave at the exit and at the first roundabout take the 1st exit onto the B566, following the brown information signpost to the De Havilland Aircraft Museum. Then continue with the directions from B556.
B556
Continue eastbound down the B556 towards South Mimms and ignore the brown information signpost into the De Havilland Aircraft Museum. Approx. 50 meters after the signpost, turn right onto a concrete access road, opposite a tunnel access road under the M25. Continue down the concrete road past the museum and follow the road round the right. There is parking in that area before the airfield gate, which is locked with a padlock.
You can walk from there to the airfield, following the public footpath along the hedge and then turn left up the left-hand side of the runway 14/32 to the clubhouse caravan on the right. Authorised vehicle access is through the locked airfield gate, up the cinder track and along north side of runway 23. Be careful to lookout and give way to any aircraft. Visitor vehicle parking is adjacent to the clubhouse caravan.
